Barrister-at-law Irène Wettstein Martin has been a deputy judge at the « Neutral » Court from 2005 until 2007. She is a member of the boards of CARITAS VAUD and the fondation « Pro Habitat ». She sat at the Constituent Assembly of the Canton de Vaud as well as at the City councils of Pully and Vevey where she was a member of the finance committee. She also has an experience as legal counsellor at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in Berne and economist in the private sector.

Irène Wettstein Martin helds since 1987 a law degree with PhD mention from the University of Lausanne.
